Nov. 4 (Bloomberg) –- Move over, cashmere: vicuña hair is softer, rarer, and more expensive. The vicuña is a llama-like animal native to the mountains of Argentina and Peru; coats and scarves made from its exceptionally soft, fine hair sell for thousands of dollars. Cashing in on this highly coveted material is Italian textile firm Loro Piana, which was recently acquired by LVMH for more than $2.5 billion.
