Chicago Principal Learned Justice as Cop, Soldier Play

June 19 (Bloomberg) -- Aaron Rucker, the principal of William H. Ryder Elementary School on Chicago's South Side, has initiated a system for discipline called restorative justice. The concept, which Rucker learned during two decades with the Chicago Police Department and his time with the U.S. Army in Afghanistan, provides an alternative to suspension and keeps the kids off the streets, where gang activity is prevalent. Bloomberg's Mark Niquette reports. (Source: Bloomberg)
