Jobless Claims in U.S. Decline; Retail Sales Rise Play

June 13 (Bloomberg) -- Fewer Americans than forecast filed applications for unemployment benefits last week. Jobless claims dropped by 12,000 to 334,000 in the week ended June 8, the Labor Department reported today in Washington. A separate report by the Commerce department showed retail sales rose more than forecast in May by 0.6 percent.
