Colin Quinn v. The U.S. Constitution

Colin Quinn v. The U.S. Constitution Play

June 10 (Bloomberg) -- Have you noticed a certain legal document that humorists keep mining for comedy gold? Daily Show writer Kevin Bleyer decided the U.S. Constitution is so flawed he needed to rewrite it in his book, "Me the People." Now former Saturday Night Live Weekend Update anchor Colin Quinn takes on the supreme law of the land in his one-man off-Broadway show, "Unconstitutional." He says it's always been his dream to collaborate with James Madison and Alexander Hamilton. Even though Quinn says that the founding fathers were "stark raving mad," he likes some of their ideas. He calls separation of powers "brilliant," but the Supreme Court is a crazy idea because of the whole "lifetime job" thing. The Constitution fascinates Quinn because we're all experts on it even though most Americans haven't read it. (Source: Bloomberg)
