Apple's iMessage Confounds DEA as Untraceable Play

April 23 (Bloomberg) -- According to a leaked memo from the DEA recently obtained by CNET, Apple iMessages are unrecoverable "regardless of the cellphone service provider." iMessages, much like Blackberry Messages, don't pass through wireless carriers. This means that because the messages don't go through AT&T, Verizon and Sprint that the Feds "can't read those texts." Or can they? Bloomberg Businessweek's Sam Grobart explains.
