Feb. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Gary Petersen, chairman and chief executive officer of Lakeside State Bank in New Town, North Dakota, and Dale Patten, president of McKenzie County Bank in Watford, North Dakota, talk about the impact of the state's oil and gas boom on their businesses. Oil production grew at the fastest pace in U.S. history last year as horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, unlocked crude oil trapped in formations such as North Dakota’s Bakken shale.
