BOJ's Independence Has Become More Tenuous Play

Jan. 21 (Bloomberg) -- Klaus Baader, an economist at Societe Generale in Hong Kong, talks about Bank of Japan monetary policy and the yen. The yen has lost six percent against the dollar in the past month on speculation that the BOJ, under pressure from the government of new Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, will boost stimulus to lift the economy out of its third recession since 2008. Baader also discusses the outlook for China's economy with Rishaad Salamat and Susan Li on Bloomberg Television's "Asia Edge." (Source: Bloomberg)
