Jan. 15 (Bloomberg) -- Lance Armstrong's long-time attorney Tim Herman of Austin, Texas' Howry, Breen & Herman says "I certainly wouldn't feel betrayed by Lance Armstrong. I would never say that. He's not only a client but a very, very close friend and somebody that I admire." Herman declined to comment directly on his client's forthcoming interview with Oprah Winfrey, in which he admits to doping to win the Tour de France, Winfrey says.
Asked by Bloomberg Law's Spencer Mazyck if he'd wished he'd taken less of a scorched-earth approach to defending Armstrong, Herman says, "Knowing what I knew at the time, I'd probably make the same decisions. Certainly, I wish that certain things had turned out better than they did."
