New Oriental Not Under SEC Investigation, CFO Says

Dec. 6 (Bloomberg) -- Louis Hsieh, president and chief financial officer of New Oriental Education & Technology Group, talks about a Security and Exchange Commission investigation into the accounting practices of China-based U.S.-listed companies, and allegations made previously against his company by research firm Muddy Waters LLC. New Oriental said in September that a committee made up of three independent directors of the company found no evidence to support allegations of accounting fraud made by short-seller Carson Block's Muddy Waters.
