Nov. 29 (Bloomberg) -- Susan Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, speaks about a vote to recognize Palestinians as an "observer state." The 193-member General Assembly voted 138 to 9, with 41 abstentions, for a resolution granting the Palestine Liberation Organization an implicit form of statehood, putting it on par with the Holy See.
