Sept. 24 (Bloomberg) -- An apartment complex where legal immigrants, recruited to work in a local poultry processing plant, live in Albertville, Alabama, is shown in this video. The refugees live three and four to a unit and each pays $68 a week for rent to the companies who hired them and brought them to Albertville.. Companies are importing legal workers from Africa, Haiti and Puerto Rico after Alabama last year passed a law designed to drive illegal Hispanic immigrants out of the state. The intent of the law was to create jobs for local residents. (Source: Bloomberg)
