Sept. 14 (Bloomberg) -- Chris Rupkey, chief financial economist at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, talks about today's reports on U.S. retail sales and consumer prices in August. Retail sales increased 0.9 percent in August, following a revised 0.6 percent advance in July that was smaller than initially reported, the Commerce Department said today in Washington. Consumer prices climbed 0.6 percent in August, the most since June 2009, the Labor Department said (Source: Bloomberg)
