Aug. 15 (Bloomberg) -- Kishore Mahbubani, dean of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore, talks about the probe into Standard Chartered Plc and its implications for regulation of the global banking industry. Standard Chartered, having settled a New York money laundering probe for $340 million the day before it was to defend its right to operate in the state, still faces federal inquiries over claims it helped sanctioned nations including Iran illegally funnel money through the U.S..
