Homebuilders Confident as Housing Starts Grow 6.9%

July 18 (Bloomberg) -- Bloomberg's Alix Steel reports that beginning construction of U.S. homes rose more than forecast in June to the fastest rate in almost four years, indicating a brighter outlook for the residential real estate market. Analysts have started to downgraded select homebuilders in spite of a report yesterday that showed confidence among U.S. homebuilders climbed in July by the most since September 2002.
