July 17 (Bloomberg) -- Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke offers his views on the U.S. economy, outlook for monetary policy and investigations into the London interbank offered rate, or Libor.
Bernanke, testifying before the Senate Banking Committee in Washington, said progress in reducing unemployment is likely to be "frustratingly slow" and repeated that the central bank is ready to take further action to boost the recovery.
