April 5 (Bloomberg) -- Taiwan Stock Exchange Chairman Schive Chi talks about the possibility Taiwan will impose a capital-gains tax on share transactions, and the expected market reaction to such a levy.
Schive said there's a "99 percent" chance a capital-gains tax will be imposed on share transactions. He spoke in an interview with Bloomberg's Stephen Engle at the Boao Forum for Asia in southern China’s Hainan province on April 3. (Source: Bloomberg)
