Feb. 29 (Bloomberg) -- New York Knicks starting point guard Jeremy Lin talks about Ed Smith, the last Harvard University graduate before him to play in the National Basketball Association. Smith, a 6-foot-6 forward, went to Harvard on an academic scholarship, graduating in 1951. He was drafted twice that year: by the Knicks with the NBA's sixth pick and by the U.S. Army, where he served until 1953. He played for the Knicks in 1953-54. Lin spoke with Bloomberg's Mason Levinson in Tarrytown, New York, yesterday. (Source: Bloomberg)
