Protesters Block D.C. Streets, Call for Jobs Play

Dec. 7 (Bloomberg) -- About 300 people protesting high unemployment and corporate bailouts blocked three streets in downtown Washington for more than an hour during the city’s lunch hour, snarling traffic and disrupting local businesses. The protesters aligned with the Occupy Wall Street movement marched through the rain carrying signs saying “We’re the 99%” and “We Need Jobs.” Police redirected traffic and formed lines to prevent further street closings.
