Ikea Will Use Paper Pallets to Save Transport Costs Play

Nov. 3 (Bloomberg) -- Jeanette Skjelmose, sustainability manager at Ikea Group’s supply-chain unit, talks about the Swedish retailer's plan to use paper pallets, one-third the height of wooden trays, saving thousands of truck trips and cutting transport bills by 140 million euros ($193 million) a year. Skjelmose spoke Oct. 24 with Bloomberg's Ola Kinnander at the Ikea store in Helsingborg, Sweden.
