Locke Says U.S., China Not in Zero-Sum Competition Play

Sept. 12 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. Ambassador to China Gary Locke said in his first speech since taking office last month that it is in the interests of both countries to deepen economic and commercial ties through trade. Speaking at the Beijing Foreign Studies University on Sept. 9, the former commerce secretary said the U.S. and China are not engaged in a "zero-sum competition."
