Perry Controls Costs Through Hospital Payment Cuts

Aug. 26 (Bloomberg) -- Bloomberg Government analyst Christopher Flavelle says that Texas Governor Rick Perry cut health-care costs in Texas by moving more Medicaid patients to managed care, as well as cutting payments to hospitals.¶ Perry announced that he is a candidate for the Republican nomination on August 13.
