Aug. 25 (Bloomberg) -- Steve Jobs announced his resignation as chief executive officer of Apple Inc. Jobs has battled a rare form of cancer since 2003, and has been on medical leave at Apple since January. He leaves a legacy for his ability to bring new, innovative products like the iPod, iPhone and iPad to market. Jobs will remain chairman. (Source: Bloomberg)
