Aug. 4 (Bloomberg) -- Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood talks about the failure of Congress to pass legislation funding the Federal Aviation Administration and the effect on agency workers and contractors.
The U.S. House of Representatives and Senate recessed for the month of August without extending the FAA’s funding authority, which expired at midnight July 22. That idled about 70,000 construction-related workers and furloughed 4,000 FAA employees. LaHood speaks with Betty Liu on Bloomberg Television's "In the Loop." ((Source: Bloomberg)
