I'm writing this from my hotel room in Puerto Rico, where I'm on vacation. We've spent a few days in San Juan and tomorrow we're going to the tiny island of Vieques where I don't think hotels are likely to provide free broadband access.

On that note -- hotel broadband has come a long way. I remember trying in vain to hook up to a costly hotel service a year-and-a-half ago in Tampa and finally giving up and dialing up the old-fashioned way instead. Today the hotel manager simply handed me an ethernet cable, I plugged it in and was all set. Apparently it's free, which is almost hard to believe.

I don't plan to be logging in the rest of my vacation. With any luck, I'll avoid even hearing what the misbehaving stock market is up to while I'm gone. March 28, however, I'll be back in the office and catching up. Let me know if I missed anything!
