March 02, 2005Check out "Random Gleanings"

Amey Stone
It may not be a blog, but it's great reading for anyone who wants a literate take on the current thinking on Wall Street. I'm talking about Eric Miller's regular column, "Random Gleanings," featured on Tom Brown's bankstocks.com. Brown runs a hedge fund that invests in bank stocks and he recruited Miller, a long-time Wall Street sage, to contribute the column to his site.
Today Miller writes about what value managers are up to, and includes a long list of stocks -- like Comcast, AIG, and Berkshire Hathaway -- that the best of them have been buying recently. It's a thoughtful piece and, as is typical, very wise in the ways of the market and portfolio managers.
