Today, Sprint’s Chief Marketing Officer John Garcia took a bunch of questions in an online chat you can see here. Apparently, starting today, Sprint will launch a new advertising campaign, which will feature a new tagline, “Welcome to the Now Network.” CEO Dan Hesse will be the company’s spokesperson in the new ad.
With this ad campaign, Sprint will go in a new direction. The company will launch its Q-chat service, a next-generation push-to-talk feature, within weeks. And it will try to use this unique feature to differentiate its service from competitors’. “This is an evolution of our Sprint Speed theme with what we believe is a more understandable explanation of the benefits of being on the Sprint network,” Garcia said. “Our network is very capable of instantaneous messaging, both on push-to-talk and a variety of data services.” Apparently, Sprint will be trying to sell the Q-chat service to business customers, first and foremost.
