Helloo!...Any Bad Cell Phones Out There?
Posted by: Olga Kharif on November 15, 2007
I’ve been reviewing cell phones for several years now. And, until recently, at least three or four of every 10 multimedia phones I’ve gotten to play around with were poorly designed (I am thinking Samsung UpStage).
That was to be expected: Handset makers Samsung, HTC and others were still trying to figure out how to incorporate music players, video receivers, cameras, e-mail and other capabilities into cell phones without making them too cumbersome to use. They’ve experimented with many design concepts, some of which worked, and some didn’t.
I think they’ve finally figured most of the design elements out. While many models I’ve tried recently were far from being as smooth and cool as the iPhone, I can honestly say I have not seen a poorly designed phone in months.
