It would appear that Mr. Perkins was not only responding to this epsiode on his own behalf, but by proxy, on behalf of Bill & Dave:

"My history with the Hewlett-Packard Company is long and I have been privileged to count both founders as close friends."

"...It now needs, urgently, to correct its course."

Good for him.

Does Walter's ( http://news.com.com/2100-1001-870469.html ) lawsuit look any different today?

I'm guessing the founders of a number of companies would be disappointed in what their successors are doing for the sake of a buck these days.
