It would appear that Mr. Perkins was not only responding to this epsiode on his own behalf, but by proxy, on behalf of Bill & Dave:
"My history with the Hewlett-Packard Company is long and I have been privileged to count both founders as close friends."
"...It now needs, urgently, to correct its course."
Good for him.
