Yet Another Venture for the Skype Guys

Posted by: Rob Hof on July 23, 2006

My colleague Steve Rosenbush has the scoop: Skype founders Niklas Zennstrom and Janus Friis, who previously started the file-sharing software Kazaa, apparently are working on yet another venture, this time software for distributing TV shows and other media on the Net. I gather that they will remain active with Skype, now a unit of eBay—which could in fact invest in the venture at some point. Lots of activity in this area, but Zennstrom and Friis no doubt will give this project a lot of cred.

I've got the feeling that Niklas and Janus could touch about just anything now and make it exciting as hell. Those guys turns things into gold!

Love to see what they could do for the moving picture industry!
