Keeping up its buying spree, Yahoo! just bought Upcoming.org, the social event calendar. Here’s founder Andy Baio’s take on the acquisition. Wonder how many more of the Best of the Web will end up in the arms of the Web’s giants before long….
Quite an interesting purchase decision by Yahoo. If it's well integrated, Upcoming.org could make quite a nice compliment to Yahoo Groups.
Of course, not to be outdone, I'm sure Google will soon be eyeing available social bookmarking communities to buy...
