Sun Taps into the Power of Us

Sun Microsystems is moving fast into what it calls the Participation Age, or at least talking about it a lot, Howard Rheingold notes in his Smart Mobs blog. “Sharing is good for our business,” Sun President Jonathan Schwartz said recently in his blog. A skeptic might say struggling Sun has little to lose from trying something radically new, but it’s still noteworthy that a major corporation is embracing the Power of Us so openly.
