London Bombings: Bloggers Keep the News Coming

Posted by: Rob Hof on July 07, 2005

Check out the unbelievably swift response from bloggers and others to the tragic bombings this morning in London. First there’s the interesting and useful map from London blogger Kosso of the BBC News, that places the events on a Google map. Then there’s already a London bomb blasts pool of photos on the photo-sharing site Flickr. Some good links at Jeff Jarvis’ and Dave Winer’s blogs, too. All amazing additions to the crush of mainstream news—which, as Jarvis notes, isn’t always perfect during a crisis.

UPDATE: And don’t forget Wikipedia. What an incredible group effort.
