Demise of Wi-Fi cafes?

Interesting scuttlebutt around the rash of stories that imply wi-Fi cafes are on the outs—-from Sean Savage, one of the people quoted in many of those stories…
Savage essentially says that he sees no evidence of a wide-spread trend in cafes cutting back or limited Wi-Fi. That’s, er, kind of different from the tone of the articles in the NYTimes, Seattle Post-Intelligencer, and Financial Times.
