Open API, Open API

Man, check out all the different tools that have been created around Flickr because of its open API policy. It makes the service richer, deeper, stronger. Almost a superhero.

I really love the fact that this openess leads to all sorts of cool new features that the Flickr people might not have thought about. Is this the model for the future? Increasing the economy of sharing?

The "open API" is not open to all. You cannot make money from it because then you are commercial. You can only make money for Flickr then it is ok.
