The Phoenix mansion where John and Cindy McCain raised their family is set to be auctioned this month. But this is not one of the many McCain homes that the Presidential candidate can’t seem to keep count of. According to Realstalker.com, the McCains sold the house in 2006 for $3.2 million, and the real estate developer who bought it is selling it at auction. This is a fabulous place set on 2.7 acres as you can see in this video tour on CNN. The McCain children had their own air-conditioned playhouse. The 15,000-square-foot house has a 6-car garage, an extra garage, 10 fireplaces, and 22 flat-screen televisions that, along with all the statues and art work, will be thrown in with the house.
BusinessWeek editors Chris Palmeri, Prashant Gopal and Peter Coy chronicle the highs and lows of the housing and mortgage markets on their Hot Property blog. In print and online, the Hot Property team first wrote about the potential downside of lenders pushing riskier, "option ARM" mortgages and the rise in mortgage fraud back in 2005—well ahead of many other media outlets. In 2008, Hot Property bloggers finished #1 in a ranking of the world's top 100 "most powerful property people" by the British real estate website Global edge. Hot Property was named among the 25 most influential real estate blogs of 2007 by Inman News.
