Would you like a free Bentley with your condo?

Posted by: Prashant Gopal on January 31, 2008

Bentley Continental Flying Spur

Dubai real estate developer, Damac Properties, is actually giving away a free Bentley Continental Flying Spur with every purchase of a penthouse or “signature duplex” luxury condo, according to the Helium Report. The cars sell for more than $200,000. I wonder how much the condos cost?

Another luxury developer in Dubai is selling their 9000+ square foot penthouses for around $500 per square foot. That's a $4.5 million range.

And from the looks of all the architectural renderings out there, owning a place in Dubai will require a space suit.

BusinessWeek editors Chris Palmeri, Prashant Gopal and Peter Coy chronicle the highs and lows of the housing and mortgage markets on their Hot Property blog. In print and online, the Hot Property team first wrote about the potential downside of lenders pushing riskier, "option ARM" mortgages and the rise in mortgage fraud back in 2005—well ahead of many other media outlets. In 2008, Hot Property bloggers finished #1 in a ranking of the world's top 100 "most powerful property people" by the British real estate website Global edge. Hot Property was named among the 25 most influential real estate blogs of 2007 by Inman News.
