The Budweiser "Wassup" Guys' Obama Ad is Dark and Wickedly Funny

The election’s best campaign ad arrived less than two weeks before November 4. We find the guys from Budweiser’s original “Wassup” ad, which ran during the 2000 Superbowl, in a shot-for-shot “2008” parody. Then we see that the Bush years have not treated these once-content beer drinkers well.

A couple of “hey-isn’t-this-a-sign-of-the-times” observations: The spot wasn’t created by an official candidate, but it wasn’t an amateur effort either. The fact it’s spreading via YouTube is no surprise, but it would be just as effective as a paid spot on TV.

Errr... it's "Macbeth"... just as long as we're genuflecting on illiteracy. McBeth would be the Shakespearean sandwich at a fast food restaurant. Just sayin'.
