Holiday Inn Express Smart Show Comes Back for Second Season

Posted by: David Kiley on July 8, 2008

The Smart Show, brought to us by Holiday Inn Express, comes back for a second season. The series of episodes feel like a mash up between “Dirtiest Jobs” and Jay Leno’s man-on-the-street interviews where he asks people, for example, “name the secretary of state.” They can’t do it for the most part.

In the initial episode up now, host Henry Dittman, asks people what their dream job would be. He also discusses Secretary of State Rice’s dream job—NFL Commissioner, and for some reason blows the hell out of stuff with a sandblaster.

Advertisers are increasingly coming to the table with web “content” as a means to draw eyes they can’t attract on TV. I’m just not sure this is going to do the job in a meaningful way. Check it out.
