Two Super Bowl Ads I Should Have Graded Better

http://www.etrade.comPerhaps it was because I was so caught up in the glory of the Giants’ fabulous win against the Patriots that two of the Supoer Bowl ads I thought were very good didn’t wind up on my pick list.

Tide did a great job elevating hum-drum laundry soap advertising. The game ad for the Tide to Go stain eliminator. The execution of the talking stain chattering over the wearer of the shirt during a job interview was dead on and dead funny. Good showe to Lovemarks agency Saatchi and Saatchi.

And while I’m not a big fan of babies talkng as adults, the E-Trade spots were very well executed, especially the one showing the baby talking about how he and his friends spent the extra coin they made on stocks renting a clown. Execution is everything, and Grey Worldwide (who’d have thought?) nailed it just right.
