I was inspired to see epredator’s resume in a tag cloud. It’s not only a fun exercise, but it provides a graphic way of communicating our skills and experience. Will this be more valuable so that we can be read at a glance? Will we repeat more key words in our resumes so that they look bigger in this type of cloud and are more visible in search engines?
I went to IBM’s Many Eyes site, which is a great place to linger, if you’re interested in visualizing your own data, whether its from an Excel spreadsheet or just a page of text. (I even did a tag cloud of an unpublished novel I wrote…)
Compared to resumes of the past, Resumes today are websites, spread sheets, graphics, anything you have spent your time working on and creating, can become your portfolio or your resume itself. Makes you consider how you use your time online...and maybe your decision to be more influential...a blog can become a resume..welcome to the info age
