Web 2.0 Awards: It had to Happen

Posted by: Heather Green on March 28

Consulting company SEOmoz pulled together a sizeable list of winners for its first annual Web 2.0 Awards. After starting with more than 700 sites, they drilled down into 300. It’s exactly the crib sheet that venture capitalists and freaked-out traditional media companies are looking for to try to figure out what to buy.

They also are taking nominations for next year’s awards. But at the pace that the hype around the word Web 2.0 is building, it’s likely that the term will have imploded and will no longer exist by next year. Whaddya bet?

Here is what even more interesting SEOmoz are more opportunist than authorities on Web 2.0.

My bets it will be around next year, probably with a different 'now name'
