Space.com Lives and Blogs

Remember Space.com? This is the startup that provoked such dot com fever in Lou Dobbs that he bolted from his cushy job as a financial commentator at CNN’s Moneyline. But, after going through a string of layoffs and executive departures (including Dobbs), Space.com emerged on the other side of the Internet bubble bust as Imaginova Corp.

And now, having established a firm audience of 3 million folks a month, the science and space hub is ready to pour on the blogs. In fact, it has no less than 10 blogs, on everything from the environment to the animal world. It’s kind of like National Geographic for the Internet set. (Or maybe that’s redundant!)

In any case, in just a quick bit of trolling I saw some interesting items, such as a link to the viral video above, which is a clip from a 30 minute pilot in 1999 called Heat Vision and Jack that featured Jack Black as Astronaut Jack Austin. Also, a tidbit on the increasing strengths of storms and elusive hydrogen fuel breakthroughs.
