Tracking Citizen Media and Bayosphere

I did two stories last week on citizen media. One is a short narrative that looks at Dan Gillmor’s Bayosphere startup and how that bid to reinvent journalism didn’t pan out.

I also did another story that outlines how some community journalism sites, including Baristanet and Nashville Is Talking, are gaining ground and how they have applied some of the lessons Gillmor learned.
