NBC Joins iTunes

Posted by: Heather Green on December 05

NBC announced today that it’s climbing onboard the digital download bandwagon at iTunes, offering shows, including Law & Order, The Office, and Late Night with Conan O’Brien for sale.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs in a press release touted the progress Apple has made: “In our first two months we’ve sold more than three million videos, and have expanded our TV catalog from five shows to 16 shows.”

But what I still want to know is what is going on with video blogs at iTunes? Rocketboom, for instance, always seems to be in the top 100 of podcasts.

What I want to know is, who is going to shell out $9.99 to download a one-hour Conan O'brien special? I love the guy, but for that price I'd expect a DVD loaded with extras.

Oh, and it looks like Video Podcasts are a featured podcast category in iTunes now, with 3 pages of vlogs.
