Want to make money on your blog? Dave Taylor provides a good how-to on Google Adsense. Not everyone rakes it in. Jack Krupansky, a frequent visitor and commenter on this site, tried it and lamented that he didn’t make enough to buy a cup of coffee.
unfortunately Jake gave up too quick to see the fruits of his labors. One of the things that most 'how to make money online' articles/sites fail to mention is that it takes a lot of time and work to build up a site to make much money. I think this is a pity as a lot of people have the potential to do well but give up too quickly.
Using Typepad for both of my blogs, I started by using Kanoodle and then added Google Adsense.
I have not made much money with Google so far but more than 'the cost of a cup of coffee.
I think the 'Ad Clicks' can be good if the ads match the Blog content closely and offer products of value to the reader.
My personal observation is that i make more money through the Google Adsense for Search than the Ads themselves.
As a side note my business is featured in the Nov/Dec issue of New Jersey Life magazine and they used my business blog's name 'Serge the Concierge' for the headline.

With Adsense I'm making twice as much as my Typepad subscription is costing me. With Kanoodle I hardly made anything. That's probably not a reflection on Kanoodle's drawing power, but of its irrelevance.
My blog is very, strangely unusual. It's about boating on the English canals and waterways, which are ethnically unique. Boating and sailing subjects that are more familiar to Americans (or even other Europeans) have almost no relevance to my subjects. So the sort of ads served up by Kanoodle were irrelevant, since it's ethnically very American.
Adsense, on the other hand, has a lot of English canal advertisers, so it works well enough to pay my Typepad subscription. I'm not sure if there's an object lesson there for Kanoodle and ethnic minority bloggers.
Hmm, as an Anglo-Saxon Brit it feels strange to describe myself as part of a minority, but I guess I am!
It's very important to test different layouts with AdSense. Many people assume they make the best amount of money with certain layout styles and never test the various CTRs based on how content, ads, and user expectations all fit together into a single experience.
I have google adsense on my site and i do not see anykind of profit happening from it.
I would rate google Adsense 1/5
Google adsense can never be your main source of income.
Google keeps a lot of information hidden from the members. Thats really unfair. We as webmasters or site owners put in so much of efforts to make and mantain our sites and google adsense pays us peanuts or even less than that.
Its really bad on their. They being such a big company and actions like amatures. Money hungry amatures.
I just started with adsense on my site. It's not doing as well as I thought it would. I think it's because of the content on my site. Nevertheless, I'll continue trying.

I had posted a comment few days ago when i had just started google adsence on my site. after a month now i know how good adsense is. YNP is much better than adsense. Adsense is not a good choice if you plan to earn income out of your site. The payments given by google are so less it is not enough for you to keep your domain name and web space.
I have a real bad experience with google and i dont thing i am ever going to trust google.com or gmail.com or adsense. Adsense is Nonsense.
Hey Guys, I have a question about adsense. If someone can help me I would greatly appreciate it. I'm new to this website stuf and have a small site. I have adsense on my site. I know that I cannot click on the ads myself. What is to stop me from getting my friends and family to click on the ads often and make money? Any comments?
thanks for info
thanks
If you get people to click on your ads too much, google will ban you. They find out qite easy if the pattern is un-natural. Then you'll be banned for life. It happened to me and I lost over $100 bucks. Doubt Google paid that money back to the advertisers too. I can't find a decent alternative either. Who can recommend a good ad alternative the Google nazis? NOT CLICKSOR..they suck.
Before easter (27 April) many , many romanian adsense publisher request a payment canceled " Deposit payment technical error" ... after 5 days nobody know nothing about this and google refuse to respond with the truth ...
