I was looking for good blogs on law, and I found no mention of the field in this Technorati list. Am I missing it? In any case, if anyone knows of sparkling legal blogs, please let me know. It’s for a little project I’m working on.
Yo, yo, try Scotusblog. It's great.
Stephen,
I made an effort at the end of last year to identify some of the legal blogs I consider to be the "best" at http://www.denniskennedy.com/archives/2004_12.html#a000547. It's not a bad starting point. The Between Lawyers blog (http://www.corante.com/betweenlawyers/) is another legal blog I'd mention. Tom Mighell has done a great job of highlighting legal blogs over the years on his Inter Alia blog (http://www.inter-alia.net). Lisa Stone's Legal Blog Watch is another good access point to some of the best law blogs (http://legalblogwatch.typepad.com). For law professor blogs, a good starting point is Law Professor Blogs (http://lawprofessorblogs.com). Also, the law librarian blogs are excellent sources of legal materials (for example, http://www.bespacific.com). Hope that helps.
Dennis
Hey Stephen - you should check out Kevin O'Keefe's blog, "Real Lawyers Have Blogs" - http://kevin.lexblog.com/.
Check out the new jersey law blog
Arend's I Law Blog @ Gtwn.

One more: http://www.professorbainbridge.com/
www.overlawyered.com and www.pointoflaw.com
We are legion :)
For a start, go to Tom Mighell's site "Inter Alia" and follow the breadcrumbs:
http://www.inter-alia.net/
From there, as they say, the world is your hamster.
Probably the best known has the most memorable of URL's:
http://www.overlawyered.com/
Check blawg.org, which lists 1,082 law blogs by popularity.
Not sure if you're looking for blogs about law or blogs written by lawyers but http://www.talkleft.com/ was a blogroll containing some law blogs
I did a search on "law" in Blogger (http://blogspot.com), and came up with a bunch in different fields.
Is that an implied comment on Technorati (and blog search in general)? I have had some challenges in getting my blog postings to show up in Technorati, even though I have been following their suggestions.
Bank Lawyer's Blog: http://www.banklawyersblog.com
and
Garlo Ward, P.C. (for long term health care providers): http://garloward.com
The blogrolls at The Yin Blog - http://yin.typepad.com - have quite a listing of law professors, law students, and litgation blogs.
thanks for all these suggestions! I'll do a post over the weekend with links to them.
Wow, did you open the floodgates with that one - looks like lawyers are not afraid to toot their horn.
On serious note, I'm working on list of best/most trafficked lawyer blogs with librarians/editors of two of the major aggregators - just not Technorati at this point. I'll ask their permission and get you list.
Blawg.org is nice directory but it's not really by popularity as it is just measured by clicks through from the blawg.org site . And because no one but lawyers spending a lot of time on the net know what a 'blawg' is, it's not nearly as good a measurement as incoming links.
And can you believe with all the problems we lawyers create for our reputation, in large part because people do not understand what we do, we go out and coin the term 'blawg' to further confuse people?
Heck, I am a lawyer and was busting my ass in early 2004 year to figure out how blogs could be used as a positive marketing tool by lawyers and it took me almost a month to figure out what a 'blawg' was. But we lawyers, intended or not, tend to do whatever we can to make the law look like it's our exclusive playground.
