…that’s the word from Michael Arrington at Tech Crunch about a new hush hush service called Measure Map. “It’s apparently a blog analytics tool that crushes everything else out there,” writes Arrington.
Hope that’s true. I remember the early days of the Internet traffic ratings services including Media Metrix, RelevantKnowledge, PC Data and NetRatings. Lots of dissing each other, many swipes taken, and eventually the emergence of better service. But never one service to rule them all. It ended up always coming back to triangulating data. Kind of think that’s what is going to happen here.
ugh. pre-beta buzz baiting is my pet peeve. it more often-than-not bites back when the over-promise hype (drooling!) raises expectations no product can deliver right out of the gate -- especially in a competitively crowded space with lots of smart people who would love to be the first to clobber it with a damning benchmarking test.
