Brazilians are lining up to blog photos

Posted by: Stephen Baker on June 14

Just talked to Adam Seifer, ceo of Fotolog. He says the fast-growing company is struggling to scale up with demand. He’s bringing in more VC money, still unannounced. But meantime he has had to take steps to limit growth: Only 500 people per country can join each day. I just joined and was the 149th American today. But Seifer says the Brazilians tap out their 500 within the first 15 minutes after midnight. “You get periodic viral explosions in different places,” he says.

Seifer blogs photos of every meal he’s had since 2002. He says many of the 15,000 to 20,000 weekly visitors to his page assume he’s a hefty gourmand. But he insists he stays in good shape. Here’s a recent meal featuring tuna. (Note broccoli). blogmeal.jpe
