Record PC Sales?


While PC sales growth in the U.S. may be lackluster this year, worldwide sales remain on track to set a record, according to the latest figures from Gartner Dataquest. Consumers and companies scooped up more than 57 million PCs the first three months of the year, about 2 million more than the researcher had forecast and an improvement of more than 14% from a year earlier. That leaves the global market on track to close the year with more than 236 million units sold, an 11% improvement over 2005.
