And you thought everyone was spending time on social networks. Not exactly. Internet communities and chat sites got a lot of visits in January, but they didn't grab as much share as adult-oriented Web sites. Adult sites attracted 12.18% of all U.S. visits in January, more than any other category and almost three percentage points more than Net communities and chatrooms, according to Hitwise. Porn proved even more popular than e-mail, the category with the second-
highest percentage of visits.
